PVC edge banding offers superior flexibility, abrasion resistance, and cost efficiency — it remains the dominant choice for mass furniture production. PET edge banding is a newer eco-friendly alternative with excellent yellowing resistance and gloss retention, popular in high-end cabinetry and green building projects. GONGDA supplies both materials; our team helps match the right polymer to your application, budget, and market compliance requirements.
PVC film is the industry standard — valued for its rich texture variety (1,000+ designs), excellent thermoformability, and cost-effectiveness. PET film is a recyclable, phthalate-free option with good heat resistance, commonly used in premium cabinet door lamination. PETG film adds glycol modification for even higher impact strength, clarity, and chemical resistance, making it the top choice for high-gloss furniture surfaces and skin-feeling finishes. GONGDA specializes in PVC and can source PET/PETG films to match your project specifications.
Yes. We produce PVC edge banding with co-extruded functional layers compatible with all major laser and hot-air edge banding systems — including Homag, Biesse, SCM, IMA, Felder, and Brandt. Laser-compatible edge banding achieves a seamless, waterproof joint with no visible glue line, the preferred solution for premium kitchens, bathrooms, and high-end office furniture.
Yes. All GONGDA PVC films comply with EU REACH, RoHS, and US CARB Phase 2 regulations. We use phthalate-free plasticizers and low-VOC formulations throughout production. Our facilities hold ISO 9001 (quality) and ISO 14001 (environmental management) certifications. Third-party SGS test reports are available with every export shipment.
1.0 mm is the standard for modern slim-profile kitchen cabinet doors. For better corner impact resistance and durability in high-traffic kitchens, we recommend 1.5 mm. In commercial kitchens or moisture-prone areas, 2.0 mm with PUR adhesive delivers maximum protection. We supply PVC edge banding from 0.4 mm to 3.0 mm across all finishes.
Our standard PVC films achieve EN 13501-1 Class C fire rating (custom flame-retardant formulations available). Scratch resistance certified ≥1.0 N per GB/T 17657 / ISO 4586-2, with optional anti-scratch topcoat for high-traffic surfaces. UV stability tested to QUV 300+ hours with ΔE ≤2.5 — ensuring consistent color in indoor applications over years of use.
We ship primarily from Guangzhou and Shenzhen ports via sea freight (20GP/40HQ containers), with air freight available for urgent orders. Standard sea freight takes 15–30 days depending on destination. All rolls are packed with PE foam and double-layer waterproof film on pallets. We handle FOB, CIF, and door-to-door DDP shipping — just provide your destination port and we'll quote the best option.
PVC film offers the best balance of cost, design variety, and moisture resistance — it's waterproof, flexible, and available in thousands of patterns at a lower price point than natural veneer. Laminate (HPL) provides higher scratch and heat resistance but is rigid, making it unsuitable for 3D-wrapped curved surfaces. Wood veneer delivers unmatched natural beauty and luxury perception but at 2–5× the cost, with limited water resistance and color consistency challenges. For most furniture and cabinet applications, PVC film is the most versatile and economical choice.
